A two-stage safety trigger prevents accidental starts: the safety flap must be pushed and both triggers pulled simultaneously before the blade engages, giving full control at all times. The coated, non-stick blades resist sap build-up and corrosion, eliminating downtime for cleaning and extending blade life. When the blade does reach the end of its usable life, it is fully replaceable by loosening a single hex screw, keeping the tool in service without returning it for service. A hand protection guard shields against contact with thorns and spikes when working through dense shrubs, and an LED work light extends visibility for use in low-light conditions. As a bare unit, it uses your existing DeWalt 18V XR batteries and chargers.
