Automotive Fluids
Discover our range of automotive fluids from Silverhook, Carlube, Decosol and Pennine, covering antifreeze and coolant, screenwash, de-icer, engine oils, AdBlue, radiator and engine treatments, fuel additives and puncture repair.
Choosing the right fluid matters for both performance and warranty compliance. Engine oil viscosity and specification need to match your vehicle manufacturer's requirements, antifreeze concentration needs to suit the climate and cooling system material, and fuel additives address specific problems rather than acting as a universal fix.

Automotive Fluids – Product list
Antifreeze and Coolant
Antifreeze and coolant help manage temperature and protect suitable vehicle cooling systems against freezing and corrosion. The collection includes Silverhook Fully Concentrated Antifreeze in O.A.T. Red and Blue formulations, alongside Pennine MEG Antifreeze Coolant and Antifreeze Coolant.
Different vehicles and cooling systems can require specific coolant technologies and concentrations. Always check the vehicle manufacturer's specification before selecting, mixing or replacing antifreeze and coolant. Pennine options are also available in larger formats for workshop, fleet and trade requirements.
Screenwash and De-Icer
Screenwash and de-icer products are designed for windscreen maintenance in different weather conditions. The range includes Decosol Ready Mixed Screenwash All Seasons Formula and Silverhook Concentrated All Seasons Screen Wash, providing ready-mixed and concentrated formats.
For colder conditions, the collection includes Decosol Power De-Icer, Decosol De-Icer Spray and Silverhook De-Icer Trigger Spray. Product instructions and vehicle compatibility should always be checked before use.
Engine Oils
Engine oil is available in different viscosity grades and formulations to meet the requirements of different engines. Carlube's Triple R range includes 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Oil, 5W-40 Fully Synthetic Oil, 10W-40 Semi-Synthetic Engine Oil and 15W-40 High Mileage Oil.
The range also includes formulations identified for specific vehicle manufacturers, including VW, BMW and Ford. For smaller engine applications, the collection also includes Carlube 2-Stroke Motorcycle Oil.
AdBlue and Diesel Exhaust Treatment
AdBlue is used by compatible diesel vehicles equipped with selective catalytic reduction systems. The collection includes Silverhook AdBlue Diesel Exhaust Treatment Additive.
AdBlue is not a conventional engine oil or fuel additive and should only be used in vehicles designed for the relevant system. Check the vehicle handbook and manufacturer's requirements to confirm compatibility and the correct fluid specification.
Radiator and Engine Treatments
The collection includes a selection of radiator and engine treatments intended for specific maintenance applications. Silverhook Radiator Stop Leak and Engine Stop Leak are distinct treatment products, while Radiator Flush and Engine Flush Treatment are designed for different flushing and cleaning applications.
The range also includes Silverhook Oil Tonic. These products should not be treated as interchangeable, so always follow the individual product instructions and check suitability for the vehicle before application.
Fuel Treatments
Fuel treatments are formulated for different petrol and diesel maintenance requirements. Silverhook products include Petrol Treatment, Petrol Injector Treatment and Diesel Treatment.
These products have different intended applications, so petrol treatments should not automatically be considered suitable for diesel systems, and vice versa. Check the vehicle manufacturer's requirements and the product instructions before selecting a fuel treatment.
Vehicle Maintenance Fluids and Emergency Products
Alongside automotive fluids, the collection includes selected products for vehicle maintenance and roadside requirements. The Silverhook Flat Fix and Silverhook Puncture Repair Kit provide different puncture-related maintenance options, while the larger Pneumatic Puncture Repair Kit is designed for a different application.
The collection also includes Silverhook fuel containers such as the Unleaded Petrol Can and Leaded Petrol Can. Always follow the applicable product instructions, vehicle requirements and local regulations when handling or storing automotive fluids and fuels.
Choosing the Right Automotive Fluid
Selecting the correct automotive fluid depends on the vehicle, engine or system, manufacturer's specification and intended application. Engine oils should be matched to the required viscosity and specification, while antifreeze and coolant need to be compatible with the vehicle's cooling system. Screenwash, fuel treatments and specialist fluids also have their own intended uses.
Before replacing or adding any automotive fluid, check the vehicle handbook or manufacturer's technical specification. Do not assume that products with similar names, colours or viscosity grades are interchangeable. Correct specification and compatibility are particularly important when dealing with engine oils, coolant systems and manufacturer-specific fluids.
