Angle Drills
We sell angle drills from Makita, DeWalt, Bosch and Einhell, built to reach into tight spaces where a standard drill won't fit, such as between joists, inside cabinets or drilling at awkward angles.
Each model uses a compact right-angle head to keep the tool accessible in confined spaces without sacrificing power, available in both corded and cordless configurations to suit different working environments.

Angle Drills – Product list
Corded vs cordless angle drills
Corded models, such as the Makita DA4000LR and DA3010, run on 110V site supply and give continuous power for extended use without battery changes, suiting fixed workshop or long site sessions. Cordless models, including the DeWalt DCD740N and Makita DDA351Z, give freedom of movement in confined spaces where a trailing cable would get in the way.
Standards and compliance
Angle drills sold here comply with IEC 62841, the international safety standard for hand-held power tools, and carry CE and UKCA marking confirming they meet the relevant EU and UK safety requirements. Corded 110V models are built for site use, where UK construction sites typically require 110V tools under the site transformer system for electrical safety, rather than mains 230V voltage. Always check the voltage rating on site before connecting any power tool.
Where an angle drill earns its place
Electricians use angle drills to bore through joists and studs for cable runs where a standard drill's length won't clear the surrounding structure. Plumbers rely on the same compact head to drill through tight cavities for pipe runs, and carpenters use them for cabinet interiors and other confined joinery work where a full-length drill body simply won't fit.
Chuck size and drilling capacity
Chuck capacity varies by model, from 10mm on the Makita DA3010 up to 13mm on the DA4000LR, so match the chuck size to the largest bit you expect to use regularly. The DeWalt DCD470N FlexVolt steps up further still, doubling as a right angle and diamond core drill for larger diameter holes in masonry and concrete.
Complete your kit
Most angle drills in this range are sold as bare units, so you'll need a compatible battery and charger from the same platform if you don't already have one. Check our batteries and chargers for cordless tools range to find the right match for your chosen brand and voltage.
