Doughty Aluminium Tube Fittings - Modular Pipeclamp System
The Doughty Pipeclamp system is a range of modular aluminium tube fittings for building custom structural frameworks, barriers, handrails, display stands and equipment supports from standard 48mm tube. No welding, no drilling and no specialist tools required. Each fitting clamps directly onto the tube using a grub screw tightened with the Doughty ratchet key or allen key, allowing structures to be assembled, adjusted and dismantled quickly on site. Compatible with standard 48mm OD scaffold tube and aluminium lighting bar.

Tee Fittings
- Doughty Pipeclamp Short Tee: the standard tee fitting for connecting a branch tube at 90 degrees to a main run.
- Doughty Pipeclamp Angled Single Socket Tee (4 to 10 Degree): single socket tee for branch connections at a slight angle from 4 to 10 degrees.
- Doughty Pipeclamp Angled Two Socket Tee (4 to 10 Degree): two socket version for angled tee connections where both branch sockets are required.
- Doughty Pipeclamp Clamp On Tee: clamps onto an existing tube mid-run without disassembly, for adding a branch connection to an existing structure.
Elbows
- Doughty Pipeclamp Elbow 90 Degree: standard right-angle elbow for directional changes in a tube run.
- Doughty Pipeclamp Angled Elbow (4 to 10 Degree): for slight directional changes where a full 90 degree elbow would be too severe.
- Doughty Locking Elbows: locking elbow fittings available in four plug sizes: 39.5mm, 41.5mm, 44mm and 47mm for different tube end configurations.
Cross Fittings
- Doughty Pipeclamp Two Socket Crossover: fixed crossover fitting for intersecting tube runs at a standard angle.
- Doughty Pipeclamp Two Socket Cross Adjustable (30 to 60 Degree): adjustable centre crossover fitting for tube runs intersecting at angles from 30 to 60 degrees.
Knuckle Joints
- Doughty Knuckle Joints: flexible knuckle joint fittings for creating articulated connections between tube sections. Available in four plug sizes: 39.5mm, 41.5mm, 44mm and 47mm.
Tools
- Doughty Pipeclamp Allen Key: the dedicated allen key for tightening Pipeclamp grub screws on site.
What to Look For
- Tube diameter: all Doughty Pipeclamp fittings are designed for 48mm OD tube, compatible with standard scaffold tube and aluminium lighting bar.
- Fitting type: always verify the number of sockets and the angle required before ordering to ensure the correct configuration for your structure.
