Polishers
We sell polishers from Flex Power Tools, DeWalt, Makita, Bosch and Einhell, covering rotary and random orbital designs in both corded and 18V cordless configurations, for automotive detailing, paintwork correction and general surface finishing.
A polisher spins or oscillates a pad loaded with compound or polish to remove light scratches, swirl marks and oxidation from a surface, most commonly car paintwork. Rotary polishers spin directly and cut fastest but need practised control to avoid burning the surface, while random orbital polishers combine rotation with an orbital wobble, giving a more forgiving action for less experienced users.

Polishers – Product list
Rotary vs random orbital polishers
Rotary polishers, such as the DeWalt DCM849N and Flex PE 150 18.0-EC, spin the pad directly around a single axis, giving the fastest cutting action for correcting deeper scratches and oxidation, but they generate more heat and require a steady, practised hand to avoid marking the surface. Random orbital polishers, including the Makita DPO600Z and Flex XCE range, add an eccentric orbital motion on top of rotation, spreading heat more evenly and making them far more forgiving for less experienced users or lighter maintenance polishing.
Pad size and job scale
Smaller pad sizes around 125mm, such as the DeWalt DCM848N and Flex XCE 10-8 125, suit detail work, smaller panels and tighter areas. Larger 150-180mm pads, including the DeWalt DCM849N and Einhell CE-CP 18/180 Li E-Solo, cover more surface area per pass, better suited to full panel or full vehicle correction work where speed matters more than fine detail control.
Corded vs cordless polishers
Corded polishers, such as the DeWalt DWP849X and Bosch GPO 14 CE, give continuous power for extended detailing sessions without battery changes, common in professional valeting and bodyshop use. Cordless 18V models, including the DeWalt DCM848N/DCM849N range and Flex's XCE and PE 18.0-EC lines, trade some runtime for mobility, useful for mobile detailing or working around a vehicle without trailing a cable.
Variable speed control
Variable speed settings, available across most models in this range, let you match pad speed to the compound and stage of the polishing job, running slower for spreading compound and applying wax, and faster for active cutting. This control matters most on rotary polishers, where the wrong speed for the compound stage increases the risk of burning through clear coat.
Standards and compliance
Polishers sold here comply with IEC 62841, the international safety standard for hand-held power tools, and carry CE and UKCA marking confirming they meet the relevant EU and UK safety requirements. Some corded models are available in both 110V and 240V, so check the voltage stated on each product page before ordering.
