Match the spool type to your specific trimmer model - not all trimmers accept all spool types.
How to identify the correct spool or line
Two reliable methods. First, check your existing spool or trimmer head for the ALM part number, BLACK+DECKER A-code, or original OEM part number - usually printed or moulded on the spool. Second, check your trimmer model number (on the handle or motor housing) and cross-reference against the ALM catalogue or manufacturer fit guide. Line diameter is also specification-critical - typical UK trimmer lines range from 1.3mm (light domestic) through 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.4mm to 3.0mm (heavy trade). Wrong line diameter either does not feed properly through the spool eyelets or overloads the motor - always match the manufacturer's specified line diameter for your trimmer.
