Estwing
Discover the Estwing range, manufactured in the USA since 1923. Estwing hammers and axes are solid forged from a single piece of steel, giving them perfect balance, strength and durability that welded alternatives can't match. The range spans standard curved and straight claw hammers through to framing hammers, axes, sledgehammers and speciality striking tools.
Two handle styles have become synonymous with the Estwing name: the traditional leather handle, built from compressed leather rings, and the blue nylon vinyl grip bonded onto the hammer shaft for durability. Estwing also introduced the shock reduction grip, giving the best available grip for reducing vibration caused by impact, part of the patented innovation behind their ergonomically correct hammer designs.

Claw hammers for general use
Estwing's claw hammer range covers curved and straight claw options, such as the E3/20C Curved Claw and E3/20S Straight Claw, in weights from 400g up to 680g, and in either vinyl or leather grip. A curved claw gives better leverage for pulling nails, while a straight claw is often preferred for prying and demolition work.
Framing hammers for structural work
Framing hammers step up in weight and reach for structural carpentry, with the E3/28S and E3/30S reaching up to 840g for maximum driving force. The Ultra Framing Hammer range adds NVG (nylon vinyl grip) and milled face options across multiple weights, giving a choice between a smooth face for finish work and a milled face for maximum grip on framing nails.
Brick, drywall and roofer's hammers
Trade-specific hammers cover more specialised tasks: the E3/20BL Brick Hammer is built for masonry work, the E3/11 Drywall Hammer for plasterboard fixing, and the Roofer's Pick Hammer for roofing work, available in both smooth and milled face finishes.
Sledgehammers, club hammers and mauls
For heavier striking force, the Sledge Hammer range runs from 2.7kg up to 6.35kg (14lb) on a fibreglass handle. Club hammers cover lighter demolition and masonry tasks from 0.9kg to 1.8kg, while the Maul gives a heavier, wedge-shaped head suited to splitting wood.
Axes for felling and outdoor use
The Felling Axe is available in multiple weights up to 1.8kg for cutting down trees and heavier chopping work. The Sportsman's Axe gives a lighter, more portable option with a leather grip, while the Black Eagle Double Bit Axe and Black Eagle Tomahawk Axe round out the range for specialist and outdoor use.
Nail pullers, pry bars and wrecking tools
The Pro-Claw range of nail pullers and moulding pullers gives targeted leverage for removing fasteners and trim without damaging surrounding material. For heavier demolition, the Pry Bar and Handy Bar give prying and wrecking leverage in different lengths depending on the job.
