Aerosol Line Marking at MTN Shop UK

The Aerosol brand focuses on a specific job that comes up on almost every site: putting a clear, visible line, arrow, cross or warning mark on the ground that will last as long as the work takes and then weather off. The range is built around 750ml line marking spray paints in the standard site colours (white, red, blue and others), handheld and four wheel applicators that put the paint down at a consistent width and height above the ground, and a multipurpose lubricant repellent for site maintenance. Trade users buy Aerosol for groundworks, civil engineering, utility surveys, sports pitches, event marking and any application where a marker pen or paint brush would be too small or too slow.

Aerosol line marking spray paint

The 0900 series 750ml line marking aerosols are designed to be sprayed with the can held upside down at low angle from above, either by hand or fitted into an applicator. The colour codes follow the standard UK site conventions:

  • Aerosol 0901 White: general purpose marking, setting out, kerb lines, pitch marking and visibility in low light.
  • Aerosol 0902 Red: warnings, hazards, fire muster points, no go zones and electrical utility marking.
  • Aerosol 0904 Blue: water utility marking and general surveying.

Other colours follow utility conventions (yellow for gas, green for telecoms, and so on). Each 750ml tin typically gives around 40 to 80 linear metres of line depending on line width and surface absorbency. The paint is fast drying and resists rain shortly after application.

Aerosol Spraymaster II handheld applicator

The Spraymaster II is a metal handheld applicator that holds a 750ml line marking aerosol can. The operator walks along the line with the can held at a fixed distance from the ground, giving a consistent line width and avoiding the back ache of bending to spray by hand. The Spraymaster II is the right choice for one off marks, short runs, awkward shapes around obstacles, and any work where wheeling a trolley applicator is impractical.

Aerosol Voyager IV four wheel applicator

The Voyager IV 9200B is a four wheel ground marking trolley that holds the line marking aerosol can in a frame, gives an adjustable line width, and runs along the ground for long straight lines. Four wheel applicators are the right choice for marking out car parks, pitch lines, football and rugby pitches, athletics tracks, event sites and any work where consistent line width over distance matters more than spot accuracy.

Aerosol Pocket Rocket Lubricant Repellent

The Pocket Rocket Lubricant Repellent is a multipurpose lubricant and water repellent supplied in 400ml aerosol and 5 litre bulk formats. It lubricates moving parts, displaces water from electrical contacts, prevents flash rust on bare metal and frees stuck mechanisms. Trade users keep it on the van for general site maintenance.

Choosing the right Aerosol line marking kit

  • Spot marks, short runs, complex shapes: Spraymaster II handheld applicator with the relevant colour can.
  • Long straight lines, pitch marking, car parks: Voyager IV four wheel applicator.

  • Hazards, warnings, electrical utility: 0902 Red 750ml.

Frequently Asked Questions

Aerosol line marking spray paint is used to put a clear, visible mark on tarmac, concrete, grass, soil and gravel. Typical applications include setting out for groundworks, marking utilities before excavation, marking out football and rugby pitches, event car parks, fire muster points, athletics tracks, and any temporary site signage that needs to stand out. The paint is designed to last as long as the work takes and then weather off.
The colours generally follow UK site conventions. White (0901) is used for general setting out, kerb lines and pitch marking. Red (0902) is used for hazards, warnings, fire muster points and electrical utility marking. Blue (0904) is used for water utility marking and general surveying. Yellow is generally used for gas, and green for telecoms. Always confirm the specific colour code required on your site, as conventions can vary between contractors and utilities.
Line marking aerosols are designed to be sprayed with the can held upside down, at low angle from above, either fitted into a handheld or wheeled applicator. The valve is built to spray in this inverted position. Shake the can well, hold it at a consistent height above the surface (the applicator does this for you) and walk along the line at a steady pace. Faster walking gives a thinner line, slower walking gives a thicker mark.
The Spraymaster II is the right choice for one off marks, short runs and awkward shapes around obstacles. It holds a 750ml line marking aerosol can in a metal frame and lets the operator walk along the line with the can held at a fixed distance from the ground, giving a consistent line width and avoiding the back ache of bending to spray by hand. For long straight lines you would typically reach for the Voyager IV four wheel applicator instead.
The Voyager IV 9200B is a four wheel ground marking trolley that holds the line marking aerosol can in a frame and gives an adjustable line width. It is the right choice for marking out car parks, pitch lines, football and rugby pitches, athletics tracks, event sites and any work where consistent line width over distance matters more than spot accuracy. The wheels and frame remove the human variation in line height and walking pace.
Pocket Rocket is a multipurpose lubricant and water repellent supplied in 400ml aerosol and 5 litre bulk formats. It lubricates moving parts, displaces water from electrical contacts, prevents flash rust on bare metal and frees stuck mechanisms. Trade users keep it on the van for general site maintenance alongside other multipurpose lubricants.
