Hook Clamps

Hook clamps are the standard fitting for hanging stage lights, speakers and rigging accessories from lighting bars, scaffold tubes and truss in theatre, film, TV and live events. Also known as pipe clamps or C clamps (US), they wrap around the tube and lock in place with an M10 bolt and wing nut.

Available tube diameters

• 25–38mm (Atom range) — lightweight clamps for smaller tube, ideal for studio and low-load applications
• 48–51mm — the industry standard for stage lighting rigs, compatible with most lighting bars and scaffold tube
• 60–75mm (Mammoth range) — heavy-duty clamps for larger tube diameters and higher load requirements

What to look for

• TÜV / CE certification — all Doughty clamps are independently certified for entertainment rigging
• SWL (Safe Working Load) — check the rated load matches your fixture weight, typically 50–750kg depending on model
• Material — aluminium clamps are lighter for touring; steel offers extra durability for permanent installs
