The Advent brand sits within the wider Toolbank family of British trade tool brands, alongside Blackedge, Faithfull and others. Advent focuses on the basics that every tradesman, joiner, bricklayer or general builder needs in their kit, with a range built around tape measures, marking tools, brick lines and precision rules. Advent tape measures

The tape measure range covers the sizes a site user reaches for daily, in 25mm wide blades that stand out for long single handed measurements:

  • Advent Black Edition 5m/16ft: the popular all rounder for joinery, kitchen fitting, dry lining and general site work, in a stealth black finish.
  • Advent Black Edition 8m/26ft: the longer version for first fix carpentry, ground works and any job where 5m is not quite enough.
  • Advent Vice Versa Dual Read 5m: a 25mm wide pocket tape with metric scales readable from both top and bottom of the blade, useful when measuring on the underside of beams, lintels and overhead frames.

Advent precision steel rules and marking tools

The Advent ASR 300 Precision Steel Rule is a 300mm (12in) stainless steel rule with clear, etched metric and imperial scales, suitable for engineering, joinery setup and any work where a tape measure is too coarse. The rule is the right choice for marking out kitchen worktop cutouts, setting machine fences and any application where a fraction of a millimetre matters.

The marking range also includes the Advent Professional Universal Sharpener, supplied as a counter top display of 50 for trade merchants, designed to sharpen the flat carpenter pencils used across the building trades.

The Advent Reel Eazi Brick Line is a fast wind brick line on a reel, supplied as a display box of 12, designed for bricklayers, blockwork and general groundworks where a tight, straight line is needed to keep courses level. The etched scales resist wear far better than printed ones.
