We sell long reach sanders from Flex Power Tools, Bosch, DeWalt and Evolution, built for sanding walls and ceilings without scaffolding or repeated ladder climbing. The range covers fixed-head drywall sanders and the extendable Flex Giraffe® pole sander system.
A long reach sander extends the sanding head on a telescopic pole, letting one person cover large wall and ceiling areas from the floor. Most models pair with a vacuum or integrated dust extractor to pull sanding dust away at the head, keeping plasterboard finishing work considerably cleaner than hand sanding.

Fixed drywall sanders
The DeWalt DWE7800 and Bosch GTR 55-225 are purpose-built drywall sanders with a round head and integrated dust extraction, designed specifically for plasterboard and skim coat finishing. The Evolution Portable Dry Wall Sander follows the same format with a higher 1050W motor for faster coverage on larger jobs.
The Flex Giraffe® system
Flex Power Tools' Giraffe® range uses interchangeable sanding heads on a common pole body, letting one tool adapt to different jobs. The GE 7 Giraffe® Sander comes with a round sanding head as standard, while the GE 5 R+TB-L Close Edge Head Sander is built for sanding right up to corners and edges where a round head can't reach fully. The GCE 6-EC Handy-Giraffe® offers a more compact body for tighter working conditions.
Cordless Giraffe® options
For sites without easy power access, the GE MH 18.0-EC brings the Giraffe® platform to 18V battery power as a bare unit, while the SE 125 18.0-EC/5.0 SUPRAFLEX Set comes complete with two 5.0Ah batteries, ready to use without buying separate battery kit.
Corded vs cordless, and voltage options
Corded Giraffe® and drywall sanders give continuous power for extended ceiling and wall runs, and several models, including the GE 5 and GE 7 ranges plus the Bosch GTR 55-225, are available in both 110V and 240V depending on whether the job is on site or in a fixed workshop. Cordless 18V models trade some runtime for freedom from a trailing cable, useful when working at height on a pole where cable management becomes awkward.
Standards and compliance
Long reach sanders sold here comply with IEC 62841, the international safety standard for hand-held power tools, and carry CE and UKCA marking confirming they meet the relevant EU and UK safety requirements. 110V models are built for site use under a standard transformer setup, so check the voltage stated on each product page before ordering.
