Doughty Spigots, Receivers and Adapters for Stage and Studio Rigging
Doughty spigots, receivers and adapters are the interface components that connect stage lighting fixtures, cameras, speakers and accessories to stands, clamps, bars and truss. The 16mm spigot (also known as a baby pin) and the 28mm TV spigot (also known as a junior fitting) are the two industry standard connection sizes for entertainment rigging in the UK and Europe. 16mm Spigots
The 16mm spigot is the standard connection for lighting stands and grip equipment in theatre, film and photography. Doughty 16mm spigots are available in multiple configurations:
- Doughty 16mm Lighting Spigots: short and long versions in steel and aluminium.
- Doughty 16mm Aluminium Solo Spigots: AW6082 T6 aluminium with M8 or M10 female thread.
- Doughty 16mm Spigot (Grippy Surface): knurled surface for secure hand-tightening.
- Doughty 16mm Spigot with Female Thread: with M10 or M12 female thread at one end for stacking adapters.
- Doughty 16mm Spigot (Beamer) with Female Thread: M6, M10 or M12 female thread.
28mm TV Spigots
The 28mm TV spigot is the standard connection for professional stage lighting fixtures in the UK and Europe. Doughty 28mm TV spigots are available in short and long shank versions in aluminium and steel, with male thread versions for direct fixture connection:
- Doughty 28mm TV Spigot (Short Shank): Euro spec in aluminium and steel. M10/M12 bolt.
- Doughty 28mm TV Spigot (Long Shank): Euro spec in aluminium and steel. M10/M12 bolt.
- Doughty 28mm TV Spigots with Male Threads: M10 or M12 male thread for direct connection.
- Doughty Race TV Spigot: heavy duty steel construction for demanding installations.
Receivers and Adapters
