Used on-site and in joinery shops to increase productivity with excellent results, it includes four apertures to meet fire door requirements. There's no need for marking out in the conventional way; the hinge jig is quick and simple to set up, since the hinge itself is used as the pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions

What router do I need to use with the Trend Hinge Jig?
A light duty router with a 1/4in collet, fitted with a long reach cutter of 12mm diameter and 70mm overall length. Using a cutter shorter than the required reach won't cut cleanly through the jig's apertures.
How does the Trend Hinge Jig avoid conventional marking out?
The hinge itself is used as the pattern, so instead of measuring and marking the recess by hand, you set the jig using the actual hinge, then rout directly through the aperture for a clean, accurate, repeatable recess every time.
What size hinges and doors does the Trend Hinge Jig work with?
It handles hinge lengths of 67-127mm and widths of 9.5-35mm, on doors between 1955-2032mm in height and 16-44mm thick. Check your hinge and door dimensions fall within these ranges before use.
Does the Trend Hinge Jig work on fire doors?
Yes. It includes four apertures specifically to meet fire door requirements, alongside standard timber doors and square butt hinges.
