Konligo The Tent Backdrop

Add a finished rear wall to your Konligo The Tent with the Backdrop accessory. Rather than leaving the back of the structure open, the Backdrop closes it off completely, giving the tent a polished, professional look from every angle and creating a defined surface for photography, signage, or branding at the rear of your setup.

This listing is for the Backdrop only. The Tent structure and membrane are sold separately, available here.

Key Features

  • Fully encloses the rear opening of The Tent
  • Provides a clean, dedicated surface for photo backdrops, signage, or branded messaging
  • Choose from Black, White, Colored, or a fully Printed finish with your own artwork
  • Designed exclusively for use with the Konligo The Tent structure

Important Note: Effect on Wind and Load Ratings

Because the Backdrop adds surface area that catches more wind, it lowers the structure's safe working load and raises the ballast needed at each wind speed:

  • 0 km/h: load capacity is unaffected, still 160kg total (20kg per hanging point)
  • 30 km/h: capacity falls to 110kg total (13kg per point), down from 130kg without the Backdrop fitted
  • 45 km/h: capacity falls to 30kg total (4kg per point), down from 65kg without the Backdrop fitted
  • 65 km/h: capacity is limited to 50kg total (6kg per point), versus 80kg without the Backdrop, and demands guy lines together with 620kg of ballast (or 250kg of ballast if guy lines are also used)
  • Beyond 65 km/h, the structure is not rated for use with the Backdrop attached

Guy lines become mandatory above 45 km/h regardless of load. And once total hanging load exceeds 80kg, or 10kg at any single point, an additional 150kg of ballast is required on top of the standard figures.

Frequently Asked Questions

With the Backdrop fitted, how much less weight can I safely hang compared to the bare structure?
Only at dead calm (0 km/h) does capacity stay identical at 160kg. Once wind picks up, the difference grows fast: at 30 km/h you're down to 110kg versus 130kg without the Backdrop, and by 45 km/h it's just 30kg versus 65kg. Base your rigging plan on the wind you'll actually face on site, not the still-air number.
Is there a wind limit for using the Backdrop?
Yes, 65 km/h is the ceiling, and reaching it means fitting guy lines plus 620kg of foot ballast (or dropping to 250kg of ballast if you're also using the guy lines). Past 65 km/h, Konligo doesn't rate the structure with the Backdrop on at all, unlike the bare tent, which goes up to 75 km/h.
Do I need extra ballast for the Backdrop version even on a still day?
No. In zero wind, neither version needs ballast. The extra weight requirements only appear once wind speed rises, and because the Backdrop catches more wind, those requirements arrive sooner than they would without it.
Are the Backdrop and Front Banner the same product?
No, they're two separate accessories. The Backdrop closes off the rear of the structure, while the Front Banner sits at the front to maximise brand visibility. Each has its own effect on the tent's wind rating and is sold on its own.
