MOTIP® at MTN Shop UK

For over 70 years, MOTIP® has been a benchmark for aerosol paints and technical sprays across Europe. Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Wolvega, the Netherlands, MOTIP is part of the global MOTIP DUPLI Group, with manufacturing in the Netherlands and Germany supplying over 100 countries. The MOTIP® Pro line at MTN Shop UK is specifically formulated for professional maintenance, workshop and industrial use, with consistent quality, reliable propellant systems and effective formulations.

MOTIP® Pro technical sprays

The MOTIP® Pro technical range covers some of the most common workshop and maintenance tasks:

  • Freezer Electronic Spray: rapidly cools electronic components to test for thermal faults, finds intermittent connection problems and identifies failing components.
  • PTFE Dry Spray: a dry film lubricant that leaves a clean, non oily PTFE layer, ideal for plastic mechanisms, chains in dusty environments and food adjacent equipment.
  • Copper Spray: high temperature copper paste for anti-seize protection on bolts, exhaust manifolds and brake hardware up to high working temperatures.
  • Industrial Grease Spray: a multi purpose lithium grease in spray format for bearings, hinges and general lubrication.
  • Silicone Spray: water repellent and lubricant for rubber, plastic and metal, used to protect seals and prevent sticking.
  • Quick Start Spray: a starter aid for diesel and petrol engines that struggle to fire in cold weather.
  • Paint Remover Spray: fast acting chemical paint stripper for metal surfaces.

MOTIP® aerosol paints and primers

The aerosol paint range covers more than 18 products, from primers and undercoats for surface preparation through to coloured top coats for metal, machinery and general fabrication. MOTIP paints offer fast drying times, good coverage and durable finishes for industrial, automotive and decorating applications.

Why aerosol format works on site

For trade users, aerosols deliver real advantages over brushed or rolled product. The application is fast and even, with no need for mixing, brushes or cleaning kit. The compact format fits in a tool bag or service van, ideal for mobile maintenance, fleet servicing and reactive repairs. Each 500 ml MOTIP® Pro can typically delivers enough product for multiple jobs.

Safety and storage

MOTIP® aerosols contain flammable propellants and active chemicals. Always work in a well ventilated area, wear suitable PPE including chemical resistant gloves and safety eyewear, and use respiratory protection for solvent based products. Store cans below 50°C, away from direct sunlight, ignition sources and out of reach of children. Dispose of empty cans through aerosol recycling streams.

Frequently Asked Questions

MOTIP® is a Dutch brand founded in 1953 and headquartered in Wolvega, the Netherlands. It is part of the MOTIP DUPLI Group, with manufacturing in the Netherlands and Germany and distribution across more than 100 countries. The MOTIP® Pro line is specifically formulated for professional industrial and maintenance use.
MOTIP® Pro Freezer Electronic Spray rapidly cools electronic components for fault finding. By spraying suspect components, electricians and electronics technicians can identify thermally intermittent faults, failing capacitors or weak solder joints, since the cooling causes the fault to either appear or disappear.
PTFE Dry Spray leaves a dry, non oily film that resists dust pickup, making it ideal for chains, plastic mechanisms and dusty environments. Silicone Spray leaves a thin oily film that lubricates and water repels, used on rubber seals, plastic parts and as a release agent. PTFE is cleaner, silicone is more flexible.
Copper Spray is a high temperature anti-seize compound that prevents bolts, fasteners and metal parts from seizing through corrosion or heat. It is commonly applied to exhaust bolts, brake caliper hardware, manifold studs and any threaded fastener exposed to high temperatures or repeated assembly and disassembly.
MOTIP® aerosols contain flammable propellants and active chemicals. They should always be used in well ventilated areas, away from ignition sources. Wear chemical resistant gloves and safety eyewear. For solvent based products such as paints and paint strippers, use respiratory protection if working in enclosed spaces.
Store MOTIP® aerosols upright in a cool, dry place below 50°C, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and out of reach of children. Never puncture or burn empty cans. Dispose of used cans through aerosol recycling streams in line with your local waste regulations.
