Doughty Girder Clamps and Structural Beam Attachments

Doughty girder clamps and structural beam attachments create certified rigging and suspension points on I-beams, H-beams, marquee frames and ceiling grid systems without drilling or welding. Used by riggers, venue installers and production companies in permanent theatre grids, TV studios, exhibition halls and temporary event structures across the UK. All Doughty girder clamps are zinc plated for corrosion resistance and rated with a stamped SWL for clear load identification at the rigging point.

  • Doughty Lindapter Girder Clamp: combines two Lindapter flange clamps with an adjustable steel frame to create a stud drop or wire rope suspension point on an I-beam. Available in 75mm to 150mm and 150mm to 300mm flange widths.

What to Look For

  • Beam flange width: girder clamps are rated for specific flange width ranges. Always measure your beam flange width before selecting a clamp and verify it falls within the rated range.
  • SWL: Doughty girder clamps range from 20kg (light duty marquee clamp) to 250kg (heavy duty scissor clamp and marquee clamp). Always match the clamp SWL to your total suspended load with an appropriate safety margin.
  • Application type: structural steel I-beam or H-beam (girder clamp or Lindapter), tube to beam (Gravlock), marquee frame (marquee clamp), tube to tube (saddle clamp), ceiling grid (stud hanger).
