Before you start, ensure it's a warm, dry day (above 10°c) and the wood is clean and dry. Wear a face mask to avoid inhaling dust. For stained or varnished wood, sand thoroughly to ensure adhesion, then clean with white spirit and let it dry. For new wood, sand lightly, clean with white spirit, and let it dry. Apply 3 coats, leaving 6 hours between each. Before the final coat, lightly sand for a smoother finish.
