Trigger Clamps

Trigger clamps are a tool-free alternative to standard hook clamps for attaching stage lights, speakers and rigging accessories to 48–51mm lighting bars and scaffold tube. Built from high tensile aluminium extrusion, they are lightweight yet extremely strong — with a built-in trigger mechanism that opens and closes the clamp, making them ideal for fast rigging and de-rigging on touring shows and live events.

When to use a trigger clamp

• Touring and live events — faster get-in and get-out compared to bolt-tightened hook clamps
• Repertoire theatre — frequent re-rigging between shows
• Temporary rigs — where speed and convenience outweigh the need for a permanent fixing

What to look for

• SWL (Safe Working Load) — trigger clamps typically have a lower SWL than equivalent hook clamps; always check the rated load matches your fixture weight
• TÜV / CE certification — essential for any overhead rigging application
• Tube diameter — most trigger clamps are designed for 48–51mm tube, confirm compatibility before ordering

Safety note: Always use a secondary safety bond or safety cable when rigging any fixture overhead, regardless of clamp type.
