Compatible with standard 48mm OD scaffold tube, they provide a fast and reliable way to build load-bearing frameworks, barriers, lighting rigs and temporary structures. All Doughty scaffold clamps are manufactured to EN74 standard and zinc plated for corrosion resistance.

Doughty Scaffold Clamps and Couplers for Stage and Event Structures
Doughty scaffold clamps and couplers are heavy-duty steel fittings for building temporary load-bearing structures from standard 48mm scaffold tube in theatre, live events, TV studios and exhibition environments. Designed to the same specifications as construction scaffold fittings and manufactured to EN74 standard, they provide a fast and reliable way to build barriers, lighting rigs, goal posts and temporary structures using standard 48mm tube. All fittings are zinc plated for corrosion resistance and are not approved for permanent structural installations.

- Doughty Double Coupler: joins two 48mm tubes at a fixed 90 degree angle. The standard right-angle connection for scaffold structures. Available in drop forged steel and pressed steel versions.
- Doughty Swivel Clamp: joins two 48mm tubes at any angle for adjustable scaffold connections. Available in drop forged steel and pressed steel versions.
- Doughty Parallel Coupler: joins two tubes running parallel to each other side by side.
- Doughty Scaffold Pole Joiner: pressed steel internal joiner that slides inside two tubes to connect them end to end for extending tube runs.
- Doughty Scaffold Solid Tube Joiner: solid internal connector for joining tubes end to end. Stronger than the pole joiner for structural applications. Available in zinc plated and black finish.
- Doughty Scaffold Joint Pin: simple pin connector for joining scaffold tubes at a node point.
- Doughty Scaffold Pipe to Pipe Coupler: for creating fixed connections between two parallel tubes. Available in 38mm and 48mm sizes.
- Doughty Scaffold Cross Over: for intersecting tube runs at a fixed crossing point.
- Doughty Scaffold Tube Clip Crossover Joint: lightweight clip for crossing two tubes at 90 degrees without full coupler bulk. For lighter duty connections.
- Doughty Scaffold Spanner: dedicated spanner for tightening scaffold couplers on site.
What to Look For
- Tube diameter: all Doughty scaffold clamps are designed for standard 48mm OD scaffold tube. The pipe to pipe coupler is also available in 38mm for smaller diameter tube.
- Drop forged vs pressed steel: drop forged steel couplers are stronger and more durable for structural applications. Pressed steel versions are suitable for lighter duty temporary structures.
- Joiner type: use the pole joiner for extending tube runs in lighter structures. Use the solid tube joiner for heavier structural loads where a stronger end-to-end connection is required.
- Application: Doughty scaffold clamps are for building structural tube frameworks. For attaching lighting fixtures to a tube, use Doughty aluminium clamps and couplers instead.
