Pennine Rust Guard (Grades 10, 20,& 30)

Pennine Rustguards are a range of solvent deposited soft film rust preventatives. The four grades in the range are Rustguard 10, 20, 30, all three of the grades have dewatering properties to displace water on contact. After application, the solvent carrier evaporates leaving a protective coating deposited on the surfaces to be protected. This protective coating varies in thickness depending on the grade used, the temperature of the component to be protected and the drying rate.

Rustguard 10 may be used as a simple dewatering fluid between processes or as a short term rust preventative for up to 2 months indoors. Rustguard 20, 30, and 40 are medium to long term rust preventatives. They all possess dewatering properties and leave a soft protective film with self healing properties. They are recommended for the protection from corrosion of ferrous components for up to 2 years. Pennine Rustguards can be removed by wiping or by means of the simple degreasing techniques used in industry, though in many cases removal is not necessary as the protective film acts as a lubricant when components are used.
